March 23, 2024, marked a monumental day for the Exodus community as we unveiled the eagerly anticipated Combat Update v1. This update introduces a dynamic new combat system, enriching the game with depth, strategy, and a plethora of opportunities for adventure and conquest. As part of our continuous efforts to enhance gameplay and immerse our players in a world teeming with challenges and rewards, this update heralds a significant leap forward in our journey together.

Unleash Your Power with New Skills
Combat in Exodus has been transformed with the introduction of three distinct skills: Melee, Magic, and Ranged. Each skill opens up unique pathways for defeating creatures and adversaries, offering tailored experiences based on your combat preferences.

• Melee: Engage in close-quarters combat with a range of swords, from the versatile Iron Sword to the formidable Tungsten Sword, and the newly introduced Spiked Club—a rare drop from goblins to be a game-changer in melee fights for low level.
• Magic: Wield the power of the elements with magical staves, each aligned with a specific gemstone, and unleash devastating spells on your foes.
• Ranged: Take down enemies from a distance with precision-engineered crossbows and longbows, choosing from a variety of ammunition types to suit your target and tactics.

​Face Formidable Foes
The Combat Update v1 brings life to Exodus with the introduction of five distinct enemies: Goblins, Wolves, Barbarians, Skeletons, and Ogres. Each enemy offers unique challenges and drops valuable items upon defeat, adding layers of strategy and reward to your combat experience. Players must tread carefully, though, as death comes with high stakes—dropped items must be reclaimed within two minutes, or they're lost forever.

Future Updates: Expanding the Combat Experience
While Combat Update v1 lays the groundwork for an enriched combat experience, we're already looking ahead. Future updates will introduce armors, amulets, rings, additional weapons, and animations to bring your character's actions to life. The upcoming stance system will add a strategic layer to combat, encouraging players to adapt their tactics to overcome their enemies effectively.

Level Up Your Combat Skills
The new skills tab allows players to track their progress in Melee, Magic, and Ranged combat, with experience points gained for every enemy defeated. Diversifying your combat strategy can yield experience across multiple skills, depending on the damage dealt in each style during a fight.

Magic Ammo
Magic users can now craft their ammo by trading in gems for charge pouches, each type of gem unlocking a unique spell charge. This addition not only enriches the magic combat system but also deepens the game's crafting and resource management aspects.

Stay in the Fight with New Healing Options 
To aid in your survival, the update introduces various cooked fish that can be consumed for health recovery. Whether you're in the heat of battle or planning your next move, these sustenance options ensure you're always battle-ready.
