Road map Deep Dive!
We know some bullet points are hardly the best way to present the Exodus vision.
Let's deep dive into more details about this road map!
Events:
Exodus, hosts several annual events yearly including Valentines, Easter, Exodus's Birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas. These events involve a community effort to fill a designated holiday theme contribution bag. Each time it fills up, players earn special rewards. These rewards are generally one or multiple limited time holiday rewards. They are discontinued after the event giving turning them into a rare collectible. These events are ongoing.
Farming Skill: (Completed)
The farming skill will allow players to plant seeds and grow herbs. There will be 10 different plants released with the farming skill. Players must plant and take care of their crops to grow them effetely, not doing so could mean the plants dying. These herbs will be used to create potions for consumption to help boost players' abilities. There will be a few other items introduced that include skilling shard pieces, skilling pet, & pet foods. Players may earn experience points and level their farming skill by harvesting herbs. Upon early access release, players be able to use skilling shards to redeem skilling outfits, skilling pets, and pet foods. Each skilling shards unlocks different skill specific items.
SDK 7 Migration:
The migration to SDK 7 is an upgrade from Dcentraland's current Software Developer Kit (SDK). This advancement allows us to create a more immersive experience for our players. This upgrade will allow users to hold their tools & weapons, 60 FPS, real time interactions with other players, and much more!
Mobile Crypto Mining:
Players will mine Exodus's in-game currency called Metamoney. The coins may be earned and bridged to the Polygon Blockchain. This will introduce a very engaging gameplay for earning Exodus crypto coins. Players may play for free or purchase tiers to earn coins faster. There are One Trillion coins that may be earned yearly or ~114m coins hourly. This will be introduced in anticipation of the early access release of Exodus within Decentraland.
Potion Making Skill:
The release of potion making will allow users to create potions to boost a player's ability in different skills. Players may create potions out of their inventory with the necessary ingredients. There will be a few other items introduced that include skilling shard pieces, skilling pet, & pet foods. Players may earn experience points and level their Potion Making Skill by creating potions. Upon early access release, players be able to use skilling shards to redeem skilling outfits, skilling pets, and pet foods. Each skilling shards unlocks different skill specific items.
Multiplayer Resource Gathering:
This update will allow multiple users to farm the same resource in real time. Meaning when a player is farming a resource, each payer will see the resource being depleted and the user/s farming it. This update will enable us to move the game forward to allow for multi-combat instances and more immersive multiplayer content.
Exodus Goodbye World Expansion: (In Progress)
Exodus, will expand to worlds, where there will be a special URL to jump straight into the Exodus world and begin playing. This gives us the ability to grow Exodus beyond the 10x14 limited estate in the main land. Exodus's mainland estate will continue to have activities to participate in but the main game will be moved to our own world within Decentraland.
Crypto Mining in Decentraland:
The main land in Decentraland will be a crypto mining field, creating an immersive experience to attract new players and introduce them to Exodus. Players will be able to mine special designated rocks and earn the game's crypto currency called Metamoney. Players will be able to use this currency to trade other players within Exodus or bridge on-chain into their own wallets.
Cosmetic Pet Skins:
This update will create a new UI within Exodus allowing users to manage their cosmetic pets, they obtain through earning, purchase, or trade.
Handheld Item Experience:
This update will be introduced after the SDK 7 full migration to allow users to hold and operate their tools & weapons on their character within Decentraland.
Combat Release:
This update will allow users to combat other creatures within Exodus using Magic, Ranged, & Melee. Each skill by earning experience points engaging in combat with each skill to level their combat skills. Players will be able to kill other creatures within the game and earn dropped rewards. This will be a thrilling experience, where dying may mean losing items to the game or perhaps another player may pick them up.
Early Access in Decentraland:
This update will be the introduction of migrating away from the Alpha Stage of the game to early access. Players stats & levels will be reset along with most items. Here is a list of items that will remain and may want to collect through Alpha gameplay. This will be the beginning of the Official Exodus Early Access Release to the public and a new beginning in the MMORPG gaming world built on the blockchain.
Open Sourcing Farming and Potion Skill Demos to Decentraland:
The Exodus team received a grant and in return we would open source some of our game activities. We really appreciate the Decentraland's DAO contribution and look forward to service Decentraland with engaging content from Exodus and a long lasting Metaverse.
User Growth & Experience Enhancement:
The Exodus team's focus will be toward marketing to new users and working toward more intuitive gameplay and a super duper immersive experience for players.
Player VS Monsters (PVM):
This update introduces the capability for several players to engage in boss fights in Exodus, offering more thrilling loot and challenging gameplay.
Player Vs Player (PVP)
This update brings a thrilling new aspect to Exodus: players may engage in combat in a designated area, where defeating an opponent allows you to claim their gear as your prize. Players will be able to engage using Melee, Magic, & ranged combat.
Exodus Exchange:
This update will open up trading to the global market of Exodus, allowing players to buy and sell their in-game items to one another. It will create an exciting market making it easy to obtain items from players in a fair market based on supply & demand and opening the economy up to more trading outside of the Player to Player trading system.
Game Skill Expansion:
The games skills will go beyond the current 5 tier system of items (Level 1,40,70,90, & 115) We will introduce more content allowing players to advance further into their skills and uncover more exciting experiences!
