Mining Skill

Overview
The Mining Skill is essential for players looking to mine ore. Here's a detailed look at how Mining integrates into the game and the benefits it provides. These resources are essential for Forging and the production of metal related items.

Gathering Resources
Mining is the primary method for collecting ore, which are necessary for numerous in-game activities. Different types of rocks yield various kinds of ores.

NPC and Starting Equipment

• Cole: The NPC for the Mining Skill. He provides new players with a free Iron Pickaxe to get started on their mining journey.

Mechanics:

• Players must have an Iron Pickaxe equipped to mine ore.
• Rocks require different levels to mine ore from it. If a user's level does not match or exceed the level requirement of the rocks, they may not mine it. 
• Each Pickaxe has level requirements to equip as well as a hardness. The players level & pickaxe type will determine the effectiveness a user has while mining. Example, a user at level 45 with a Steel Pickaxe will mine ore faster than if they were to be using a lower level pickaxe or had a lower mining level.

Experience and Leveling:
Mining grants experience points (XP), contributing to leveling up the Mining skill. Higher-level rocks provide more XP and better resources.​

Ore and their purpose:

• Ores are processed into metal bars
• Bars are forged into metal objects
• Metal objects are used to create, tools, weapons, armors, & many other metal items.

Mining Drops:

• Ore
• Mining Shard pieces
• Scavenger Hunt Tokens
• Enhanced Scavenger Hunt Tokens
• Rare items during special events (e.g., event-specific  items)

Rock

Overview
There are five different Rock types, each increasingly valuable and requiring higher Mining levels to catch.

Iron Rock: Level 1

Coal Rock: Level 40

Gold Rock: Level 70

Titanium Rock: Level 90

Tungsten Rock: Level 115

Tools
​There are five tiers of fishing rods in the game, each becoming progressively more effective and requiring higher Fishing levels to equip.

Iron Hatchet: Requires level 1, given for free by Finn.

Steel Hatchet: Requires level 40.

Golden Hatchet: Requires level 70.

Titanium Hatchet: Requires level 90.

Tungsten Hatchet: Requires level 115.

Fishing Pet

Overview
The Fishing Skilling Pet is a special companion that enhances a player's Fishing efficiency and rewards. The Fishing Skilling Pet is a Lizard named Wet Willy

Wet Willy

• The Fishing Skilling Pet. This levelable water lizard hatches from a special egg and enhances Fishing efficiency.​

​Abilities
Wet Willy provides several benefits as it levels up:

• Extra Resource Chance: At level 25, an unlockable ability gives a chance to earn an additional fish while fishing.
• XP Resource Burn Chance: At level 40, an unlockable ability allows a chance to convert a caught fish directly into experience points forfeiting the fish by gaining double XP.
• Resource Banking: At level 50, an unlockable ability provides a chance for fish to be sent directly to the bank instead of the player’s inventory.

Fishing Egg

• A special item that hatches into Wet Willy, the Fishing Skilling Pet. This pet aids players in their Fishing activities by providing various bonuses and abilities.

Maritime Munchies

• Special food used to unlock and enhance Wet Willies's abilities. Feeding Maritime Munchies activates abilities like extra resource gathering, XP boosts, and direct resource banking, significantly improving Fishing efficiency.

Fishing Skilling Shards
While fishing, players can collect shard pieces. Combining four unique pieces forms a complete Fishing Shard, which unlocks the Fishing Skilling Outfit, Pet Foods, Eggs, and Pet Abilities.

Fishing Skilling Outfit

Overview
The Fishing Skilling Outfit is a special set of gear that enhances a player's fishing abilities. This outfit consists of five pieces, each providing unique benefits and improving overall efficiency in the Fishing Skill.

Scalefin Outfit
​The Fishing Skilling Outfit. Obtained through redeeming 5 Fishing Skilling Shards per piece. Requiring 25 shards to create the whole set.​

Benefits

• Individual Bonuses: Each piece of the outfit grants specific bonuses that improve experience points earned while chopping trees. 
• Set Bonus: Wearing the complete outfit provides an additional cumulative bonus, further enhancing experience points earned.

Obtaining

• Each piece of the Fishing Skilling Outfit requires 5 Full Fishing Shards to create, totaling 25 full shards for the complete outfit. Full shards are obtained by combining the four Fishing Shard pieces, which can be collected while fishing.

Overview
While engaging in the Fishing skill, players have the chance to obtain Scavenger Hunt Tokens and Enhanced Scavenger Hunt Tokens. These tokens add an extra layer of excitement and rewards to Fishing activities.

Silverfin

Overview
Silverfin are an important resource obtained through various activities, including Fishing. These fin's are used in the Apothecary Skill. They may be ground up into a powder as a recipe item to create the Fishing Potion.

• Always use the highest-level Fishing Rod available to you for efficient Fishing.
• Focus on leveling up to access higher-level fish and better fish.
• Participate in events and updates for additional rewards and opportunities to enhance your Fishing experience.
